HATTORI FOUNDATION FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS
The Hattori Foundation assists instrumentalists of exceptional talent to pursue a solo career. Awards of up to £6,000 are available to British nationals or UK residents aged 21-27 (Seniors). Awards of up to £1,000 are also available to those aged 15-20 (Juniors). Ensembles whose average age does not exceed 27 may also apply. Awards are made for intensive private study, maintenance, the costs of attending masterclasses or international competitions , or assistance with concert performances. No assistance is given for the purchase or repair of instruments, or for course fees. Junior applicants should apply at least 2 months prior to their project taking place. PARKHOUSE AWARD
Since 1991, when it made its first award to the Grieg Trio, The Parkhouse Award has been an important chamber music competition, helping ensembles of piano and strings with vital support during the early stages of their career by presenting them in prestigious London concert halls. The competition is open to ensembles living in the UK or overseas who have already assumed, or are ready to assume, all the responsibilities of a professional career and who can demonstrate that they have been performing together regularly. THE TUNNELL TRUST
Assists young professional chamber music ensembles and Scottish Music Clubs by running its Music Clubs Award Scheme whereby the Trust pays the fees of outstanding young groups to play at Music Clubs all over Scotland with an emphasis on helping Clubs in small and remote places as well as in the major centres. Applicants must be emerging ‘Classical’ Chamber Groups (up to 8 players) who are British Based. Groups are normally expected to be at a ‘Senior Undergraduate’ or ‘Post Graduate’ level. YORK EARLY MUSIC INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ARTISTS COMPETITION
The Competition provides a major boost to young professional careers, offering opportunities for performances, recording and broadcasting, and a route to the prestigious EEEmerging project. The competition is open to early music ensembles (minimum 2 members) where the average age of the members is 32 years or under.
